What To Do....

When daddy brings home 56 pre-made pizza crusts.

Eat them of course!

Everyone thinks it's great fun having a huge pizza crust all to themselves.

Yep, everyone!

Our Musical Side

We do a lot of singing and dancing at our house.

The other day Eliad was really sleepy and starting to fuss so I started in with a Beach Boys classic.

It made him happier as I sang "I'm picking up good vibrations".

Ardon heard me and decided to chime in on the next part of the verse. As I stopped singing I heard him belt out,

"She's giving me some nice hot raisins".

Bronze and I laughed and laughed.

We like his version better!

Pictures (a non-picture post)

I know the picture quality in my recent posts hasn't been great. Unfortunately I can't use my camera at the moment since it is out of memory and we aren't erasing the pictures yet. We have had 2 major crisis events in the last several months resulting in the loss of virtually all the photos we have ever taken of our family.
The first was when my computer fell off of a chair, the hard drive was damaged in such a way that we weren't able to recover any of the photos saved to it. We were of course devastated.
The second happened just a couple weeks ago while we were having a birthday party in our home and Bronze's laptop was stolen.
He had just transferred the pictures from the memory card so that we could use it for birthday purposes. We had planned on getting an external memory to transfer everything to but didn't even have the chance. Again we were left devastated, not only from the loss of a computer that had information pertaining to accounts and credit cards but work that Bronze had spent the last 2 years on, and the most priceless of all, photos of our kids that we can never get back.
Other than what's been blogged (thankfully we have that) we have lost basically everything. Hundreds if not thousands of photos. Ardon's birth and first years, Elee's birth and even Eliad's birth photos. Not to mention Bronze and I's first years together.
I get emotional just thinking about it and have to be careful to not be overcome with sadness. We are obviously hurt and disappointed and don't understand why.
I don't mean to dump our sob story on you but thought maybe that way you'd understand why my blogging has been slow at times lately and why my pictures seem a little blurry now ; - )

Before and After

This is our family room.

See the beautiful "jungle floor" colored carpet? We believe it's been in the house since it was built in the 70's. You can see where the carpet is darker as it was under furniture and the lighter walking paths that don't even have much carpet fiber left.

Here's what it looks like now! We have been wanting to get new, clean (sanitary) carpet since we moved in and after much agonizing deliberation we finally decided on some carpet from an outlet store. It's so nice to have something soft to stretch out on and lay Eliad on.

Or, as was the case Monday, to "swim" on. Of course, after having the 5 of us cooped up in about 100sf of walking path through the kitchen and dining room for 7.5 hours, we were so relieved to spread out that we could have danced a jig on it!

Seconds after getting the last of the carpet scraps inside it did this!

Hail in February! This is the first time we've been able to have both cars in a garage for a hail storm and it was sure nice not to have to worry about any damage to them!

The weather's been crazy this winter that's for sure, today we had the house opened up and the kids ran around outside. I definitely prefer weather like today!

Pudding

She came to ask me at 10 am if she could take a bath, I told her not right now because she had just taken one before bed last night.

She decided to settle for a snack and requested chocolate pudding, which she sat at her table to eat.

Then she came around the corner like this and looked at me smiling and simply said "bath now?" I looked at her table dreading the mess I would find, but there were only 2 small smudges of chocolate to be found and about 3 toe prints beside her chair.

If I didn't know any better I'd think this sweet, innocent child had plotted some forced bath scheme against me.

Ardon made the comment that she really needed a bath now and with an "oh Elee" sigh, I grabbed her and threw her in the sink.
