Birthday Girl

It's Elee's birthday! She made out pretty good this year with lots of princess stuff. She did have one unusual request that wasn't princess related, anytime she was asked what she wanted for her birthday she would say a little, tiny, Christmas tree to decorate her room with. I'm not sure where this request came from but thankfully Biglots already had some Christmas supplies in. She was tickled with everything and it was so much fun to watch her opened presents this year! She's a big personality in a little package and such a sweet, fun, loving addition to our family and we love her very much. Happy birthday Elee, we love you!

Pumpkin Season

The big kids saw this shelf with pumpkins when we went shopping today and thought it was a perfect opportunity for a photo shoot. Eliad watched them but really just wanted to eat his chicken!

A Cool Morning

It has been getting a lot cooler in our area. Some nights have been almost chilly! It's in the 50's this morning so the kids are out enjoying the cool weather and watching the tree trimming next door. There's varying degrees of clothing but lots of fun.

Slurp

I guess 2 minutes of being out of the room is 2 minutes too long these days!

Oh My!

We stayed close long enough for a picture then decided it was best to keep our distance!

Estate Sale

This weekend was the estate sale at my grandparents house. We spent some time hanging out over there, visiting, taking some things and looking through a lot of 'stuff'. The big kids both ended up with treasures and had a great time there. Here's a little bit of what our day looked like.

Entertainment For Today

We have a major gas pipeline that goes through the back easement of our yard, it is one of the main supply lines to the city. The gas company that owns it does a weekly fly over to check the soil with special cameras to make sure that there's nothing leaching out into the ground. There hasn't been any maintenance on the area for quite a while so they are going through and clearing it out so the plane's cameras can see more clearly. Unfortunately that means we had to lose a big row of bushes and a large tree at the back of our yard. Even though we didn't have to worry about moving a shed or pool like some of the neighbors, we were still disappointed to lose what had made it through our hot, dry summer. The company is just trying to maintain safety procedures and they tried to be nice about it. We had a large, dead oak tree in the middle of our yard and they agreed to help us out by removing it at no cost since they had to take out everything else that we wanted to keep. It was very loud in our yard today but provided a lot of entertainment for the kids.

School- Sometimes it's crazy....

and sometimes it's like this.
