A Quick Oil Change

Turned into a LONG 2 hours!

So we finally picked an isle,

and camped out until it was time to go.
Or at least we thought we'd be ready to go, we got back to the auto department only to find out that it would still be another half hour. So when you notice all the ink art work (and yes, it was my idea) on my children, you know what we did to kill the rest of our time waiting.

Morning Wake Up Call

Eliad was up shortly after Bronze left for work this morning,  he did go back to sleep but since he was up at 4:30 he actually slept in until 8:30 instead of his usual 6 or so time. I decided to take advantage of this and stretch out a little longer in bed today since it's such a rare occurrence and I happened to be up late last night.

I started to hear a noise a little after 7, I couldn't tell if it was screaming or yelling but it sounded really strange. At first I thought it was one of the kids making a noise but it sounded like it was coming from further away. As I listened the noise became more clear and I realized it was was a rooster, crowing away. Since roosters aren't allowed in the city limits here I wondered who was keeping one. I came out to the family room and could hear the neighbor dogs barking like crazy and when I looked out to the yard I saw this guy.

I stepped out for a minute and talked to the neighbor behind us who was trying to get her dogs inside. I tried to get close but he ran off and eventually fluttered over the fence.
As I was walking back up to the house I saw this little guy watching all the commotion from the other side of the fence.
I came back inside and a few munutes later the kids were going crazy saying he was back, sure enough, there he was. And if you look to the left in the shaddow of the fence you can see the fuzzy observer joined him in the back yard. I guess I will have to check the yard today each time I let the dog loose or someone will be having our guest for chicken dinner!

First Tooth

Finally, at 7 years old, he lost his first tooth!
He's been messing with it for about a week. I stepped into the other room after getting him set up with his next school worksheet and I heard some commotion with the other kids and then Ardon saying it just popped out! When I walked back in to the room there he was, showing it off.
