The Birthday Girl

Friday the 26th was this girls 5th birthday.
She was so excited.
All day long she kept asking,
 "is it still my birthday?"
She opened her gifts from us and we had a relaxed day hanging out.
Saturday was the official party day and we celebrated with 96 cupcakes!
(Which seemed like a good idea before I started baking them!)
Every one came over to celebrate.
She opened her gifts.
And blew out her candles!
Elee is such a wonderful blessing to our family and we are so thankful for the 5 years we've had so far. She loves princesses, babies and arts and crafts and is a very creative thinker!
We love you Elee, happy birthday!

Hanging Out

We've spent a lot of time just hanging out lately.
Since Bronze is off for a work related knee injury he isn't able to do much right now.
But we're trying to make the best of it and just enjoy having him around.
It's been really cool here today so tonight our hanging out was around a fire in the chiminea.
And suffering through ice cream since we didn't have any marshmallows to roast!

What I Heard

And what I saw when I looked out the bathroom window this morning.

We had been up getting ready for church and the youngest 2 asked if they could play outside while they were waiting to leave.

I heard a lot of sing-song voices followed by a serious sounding conversation.  When I leaned closer to the window I could hear Elee telling her little brother that there was only 1 Jesus and that we had to praise him and only him. I'm not sure what sparked the conversation but it made me smile and made my heart greatful that 'His' work is already so evident in their lives at a young age!

What NOT to Do

                        With a plastic bag!

I don't even know where it came from but told him to keep if off of his head, or else....

So this was second option decided on but I think it is going to end up in the trash as our third option very quickly!
Crazy kids!
