A Little Bit of Christmas

Well, we ended up getting more of the junk that's going around and it made this past week more tiring than usual but the kids seem to be on the mend so hopefully we can get better and stay better this time! Here is a little bit of our holiday week.

It Would Be My Daughter

And it would happen less than than a week before Christmas!

Cookies For Breakfast

After a cookie exchange you have to eat cookies for breakfast at least once right?! It is Christmas time after all!

Christmas Things

We have been keeping ourselves busy this Christmas season! There has been so much going on in general but our recent activities have included play practice last night and Christmas lights tonight!

Pancakes, Pancakes, Pancakes

A few weeks ago we read a book for school titled as above. We made pancakes that week and my kids have been wanting them regularly ever since. Today we made chocolate, chocolate chip, they were a hit of course!

Something Old Yet New

When we moved into our house a little over a year ago we were ecstatic about having a new place. Almost everything about it was more than what we hoped for and was a major difference in a positive way, notice though I say almost. One of the things we sacrificed in the move was our kitchen. I love to cook and bake and when we built our kitchen at our old house we were able to tailor it to exactly what we wanted. Now, the kitchen we moved to wasn't 'bad'. It was outdated and the appliances didn't work great and they were small. For example, my oven was only 18 inches wide on the inside. Needless to say, most of my pans wouldn't even fit in the oven. We have been doing a little bit here and there trying to update and replace as we can. Today though, we made a big change/improvement. I managed to find an oven on craigslist and amazingly buy it before someone else got it. It matches my colors and is even a convection oven! The deal was made even sweeter by the fact that I got an incredible deal on it, my $900 oven only cost me $150!

Finally

After a couple weeks of craziness followed by sickness this past week, we finally got the tree up!

Early Morning Bubbles

One of the things the kids got to do with grandma was make a special bubble potion. They were going to use it yesterday but we had so much going on we never got it out. The kids were up early this morning with grandma so we got bundled up and went outside to give the bubbles a try. I think grandma was just as excited ( if not more ) as the kids to see how it worked!

Thanksgiving Guest

The kids are having a blast! Between magic crystal gardens, special home made bubble potions and hand art, grandma hasn't let there be a dull moment.

Down

We avoided it as long as we could but unfortunately it finally caught up with us. The kids have been sick this week. Ardon's case was just mild, runny nose and a cough, and I think he is basically over it. Eliad still has a little bit of a yucky nose but he played hard last night and acts like he is feeling much better. Poor Elee is still not feeling great, unfortunately hers went respiratory and has effected her asthma so we've had to get out the nebulizer. Hopefully everything will pass quickly and we'll be back up to par. I'll leave you with this picture showing that "a spoon full of sugar" (otherwise known as a sucker) really does help the medicine go down!
