Ferocious Eater

Elee enjoys eating and really gets into her food.
.

.
As she goes along she becomes more animated.
.

.
This eating is serious stuff you know!
.
.
She has to make sure that no bite gets away!
.
Watch out fingers, here she comes!

My Crafting

I love to get creative, it's hard to fit it into my schedule but I've been making some time to create a few things recently. This is what I just finished.
.
Bronze's mom has a bunch of leather scraps so she let me have some to work with. I knew right away that I wanted to use them to make a purse.
.
My mom gave me a bag of some fabric scraps so I picked a fun, colorful one to use for the liner and inside pockets.
.
It took FOREVER to finish, I don't have a working sewing machine so I had to do it all by hand.
.
I can never find quite what I'm looking for in a purse, at least not in my price range;-) There are a few things I would probably do a little differently now but I'm pretty happy with it over all!

Applejack

I have been trying to get us to the pumpkin patch for a couple weeks now. We went a couple years ago with my brother and his family to the Applejack Pumpkin Patch. We had a lot of fun going, it ended up being a little chilly and wet that day and Ardon was too little to do many of the activities. Since Ardon is bigger now and it was so nice out today I managed to get everyone together and we headed out. Two of Bronze's sisters came with us so it was even more fun with a bigger group.
.
They had so many things to do there this year and I took a ton of pictures. I have narrowed it down a lot for this post but be prepared, there are still quite a few.
.
The four of us in the pumpkin bus!
.
Animal farm, the animals were gentle enough for the kids to pet.
.

Elee liked to look but didn't care for touching!
.
Going for a ride around the track.
.
My pumpkins;-)
.
The pumpkin/gourd launching station.
.
Ardon thought it was so neat that he could do it himself!
.
Then we went through the corn maize.
.
It was a bumpy ride!
.
Stormi took the 'secret' path, it didn't work out so well.
.
There was a great big air mat/pillow to jump on.
.
Ardon made the big climb uphill for the giant slide.
.
He didn't really want to slide down the first time but once he did he didn't want to stop!
.
Bronze even took Elee down the slide.
.
We did the zip-line.
.
A hay fort was in one area, it was a lot of fun to climb on.
.
Some even used it to go air born.
.
It made for some great shots.
.
Super dad!
.
Air born Elee!
.
Ardon and Heaven went on a tractor pull/train ride.
.
Off they went!
.
We ate a funnel cake Ardon won by hitting the target at the gourd launch.
.
Then we were off the the pumpkin patch.
.
The kids measured themselves against the pumpkin chart.
.
I tried and tried to keep stuff on Elee's feet but she absolutely refuses to leave her socks and shoes on.
.

The kids were so worn out from all the excitement that they couldn't stay awake on the drive home! We had so much fun and I would definitely recommend the Applejack Pumpkin Patch if you are looking for a place for fun fall festivities. They are very family friendly and made our visit a blast!

100th

I have finally reached my 100th post. I planned on doing a give away but have been a terrible blogger lately so I just wanted to try to get a little caught up first. The last 2 months have been extremely busy for us. Between doctor appointments, physical therapy for Elee, Bronze's ever changing work schedule, lists and lists of home repair and just keeping up with the every day stuff it has been hard to get anything extra, like blogging, done.

This week we've enjoyed having Tom and Netta stay with us while they traveled through town with grandma Leyba to take Bronze's youngest sisters on a trip. The kids love having them here, Ardon has been so excited that they get to spend the night and we will miss having them around when they head home in the morning.

Many of you didn't know that Elee has been going to physical therapy. We had some concerns a few months ago and upon seeing our family doctor she determined we needed to address some issues by seeing a specialist. In short, the specialist diagnosed her with Congenital Hypotonia and decided we should try P.T. Elee has been making good progress and has a great outlook. She is as ornery as ever and M&M's are her motivation to push herself in rehab!

Ardon has been really into drawing lately and working on his letters. He still loves crafting (craft post to come soon) and really likes helping me out with housework. He continues to be a great big brother and is a huge help at keeping Elee entertained while we are busy. Right now he is always saying "I just love Elee so much, I really want to keep her" (he has never said he didn't want to keep her by the way) and "Elee is so cute, her head is getting so big!" Ah, the inner workings of a 3 year old!

Bronze has been getting shifted around at work some. Legally drivers can only run so many hours in a week. The company has a couple drivers that were having trouble keeping their hours down so Bronze has had to go run some out of town routs to help cover.

I will try to do a better job at blogging when things hopefully calm down for a while. Netta has all ready told me I better get cracking so that she will have something to read when they get back home;-)

I really have missed blogging, but things like bathing my children and trying to get 5-6 hours of sleep at night tend to be a little higher on the priority list at this point!
I'll be back soon, I hope!

Fun With A Fort

One of the things we had planned for our vacation time was to set up a tent in our back yard so Bronze and Ardon could camp out one night. Since Ardon still had a cold and seems to develop respiratory trouble easily we decided against it due to the chilly weather that came in. He had really been looking forward to camping and was disappointed when we told him it wasn't going to work out. I told him that we would try to set up something in his room that would be fun instead and then I remembered these foam mat/building squares that we had stored out in the garage. I told Ardon that we could make a fort on his bed instead and he thought that was a good plan.
.
.
I got all the pieces connected and set up on his bed.
.

.
Then everyone had to climb in and check it out.
.

.
He was very happy with the results and put his new flashlight right to work.
.
.
Elee thought the new set up was pretty neat too.
.

.
He went right to sleep that night and of course requested to keep the bed fort up for the remainder of our vacation. We were happy to oblige and still have never gotten around to taking it down. Not that he's complaining mind you;-)

Ambitious

Last week the kids were sleeping so I made a quick run to the store to grab a couple things. When I got home I saw this-
.

.
Bronze decided to cut his own hair for the first time. I have cut his hair ever since we were first together and we had planned on doing it while we were on vacation but he couldn't wait any longer. Needless to say, I doctored it up a little for him after I got home;-)

Catching Up

I had planned on doing a better job blogging this last week. Bronze had the week off work and we tried to do some fun things that we don't normally do. Sunday was Elee's actual birthday and everyone ended up with the sniffles, but we decided to try and make it to the air show for a little bit.
.
There were different things for the kids to participate in.
.

.
One of them was face painting.
.
.
Ardon had a Batman mask painted on his face.
.

.
Elee got dots to match her jacket.
.
.
After waiting in line Ardon didn't think he wanted his face painted anymore but when he found out he could get a Batman mask he decided to go through with it.
.

.
We were there for a while waiting on the main show and since you can't really take much past security we ended up buying some hotdogs while we waited.
.

.
They were expensive but since it was Elee's birthday and one of her favorite foods is hotdogs we decided to go ahead and get some. (Not to mention the fact that on the base your options are seriously limited!)
.

.
There were a lot of neat planes to see and touch.
.

.
This plane had someone standing on it while it was flying.
.

.
Ardon is really into planes right now. He thought it was great that he was able touch everything!
.

.
We missed the main show because they rescheduled it due to all the clouds that morning. We waited a while since they said they were going to do it a little later but it never started while we were there. It was fun to go and do something different, we have never actually gone on base for the air show before, we usually just pull off the road somewhere to watch from a distance.
